Your Closet Is Not Complete Without These
2021 is here and it's time to get out and get back the momentum of our lives that 2020 snatched out from us. You gotta dress up, show up and smash the hell out of your New Year Resolutions.
You know, I have some resolutions too. To make every one of you become the best versions of yourself. No need to thank me. Style is something that lets us express ourselves without uttering a single word. It can help you deliver your inner sentiments whit out any exploitation.
Today I’ll be sharing with you the compilation of the ultimate wearables you need to ace the style game. This list is based on my experience after experimenting with my style some adjustments made for the good.
1. A pair of white sneakers:
OK, I know this is a no-brainer but I couldn’t keep myself from listing this on the top. These are the ultimate sneakers you need. Casuals, Semi- Formals, Street-wear they’ve got you covered. Nowadays wearing suits with a pair of white sneakers is a thing.
You may contract for some other sort of sneakers other than the white ones. I’m saying White because of their versatility. If you think there are some more versatile ones, let me know too.
I always prefer the formal watch which goes with pretty much everything. You have your choice to make, but I would recommend a Formal one. I know it's a no-brainer but I see the majority of the population not wearing one. It not only makes you punctual but also enhances the overall look! I myself feel a hike in confidence while wearing a watch. Plus, it's a great style accessory too!
3.A set of traditional attire:
If you don’t have a designer Kurta in your outfit, you’re not a true Indian. Jokes apart, any sort of traditional attire, be it a Sherwani, a Jodhpuri, a Kurta, or any sort of traditional combination, is a must in your outfit. Well, you can’t go to your brother’s wedding wearing jeans, a bomber jacket, and Jordans right?. As an Indian guy, having a traditional outfit is a must! You can rock it on Diwali or any Festival or your brother’s big day.
If you ask me, I will always choose Kurta Pajama over a three-piece suit. Its cheaper, it sexier and it makes you look like a mature dude. Such a smart guy;P
4. A Baby Pink t-shirt:
I’ve read this somewhere- Breaking more stereotypes gives the ultimate confidence. As we know, how pink is considered a feminine outfit? So let’s do this. Let's break the cliche. Let Pink be a mere color and no signification of any gender.
The aesthetics of this color is to die for.
Pulling it off is just a cakewalk.
Pairing? It can go with literally anything.
Be it a denim jacket, bomber jacket, or a leather jacket, all the jackets give a sudden hype to your outfit. Suede Jackets are my personal favorites btw. The next one is a tailored jacket. Layering is the best thing to do when you don’t have any idea of what to wear to a party.
Layering is the most effortless way of styling. Just throw on a suitable piece and you are good to go.
If you’re a skinny guy. Layering is the go-to thing for you. Denim jackets are by far the most common jackets. So if you are not very sure about jackets, go for Denim jackets.
Do you know what rhymes with Manly? A Henley! I just can’t stress more on the fact that Henley is the best t-shirt ever made in history. If you wanna rock streetwear like a grown-up (Focus Word: Grown-Up), Henley is your ultimate go-to. Unfortunately only 2 out of 10 people wear Henleys. They provide such an aura that can’t be described in words!
It must be a go-to for your first date! You know, in my opinion.
Pro Tip: ALWAYS wear skinny jeans with a henley.
Shades, glasses, sunglasses whatever you’d like to call it. Symmetrical faces are considered to be more attractive. Wearing shades especially black contributes tons of symmetry to your face and ultimately makes you more attractive!
A full set Three-Piece Suit is a must in a Gentleman’s Wardrobe. If you are 18 go grab one. You need it. You may have your job interview or a marriage to attend or the farewell of your college. There will be many such occasions where you’ll need it. So getting a suit turns out to be a no brainer.
Right here are your handy guide to The Perfect Suit Fit so you can ace your suit game without a single hitch.
9. Dress Shoes:
I still can’t get why most of the 18 YO guys don’t have a single pair of dress shoes. This crazy obsession over sneakers may be a contributing factor to this. See, I don’t mean to defame sneakers. I wear them a lot honestly. But dress shoes hold their import in an outfit. For a very basic instance, you can’t wear Yeezy’s or Jordans with formals, can you? Yes, white sneakers are acceptable on a casual affair but not every time.
I myself got in love with the dress shoes after coming across the class I explored after delving into this topic. Loafers, Oxfords, Brogues, Full-Patents, damn just look at the ilk.
Full-Patent shoes btw are the most complimented shoes especially at parties, weddings, and big occasions.
Another thing I wanna stress on is the quality of dress shoes. See sneakers can be changed after a year or two after purchasing them. But dress shoes are meant to last long. So always invest in them and get a decent pair. Anything less than 1000 INR won’t last. You have to invest a fair amount to get the most out of them.
10. Cargo Pants:
Cargo Pants slowly started gaining popularity back in 2020. And I think, they are the next big thing. Jose Zuniga from TeachingMensFashion added cargo pants to his ESNTLS clothing lines to boost up the sales. (Those are dope by the way). Comfort is the primary reason for me giving cargo pants their priority. Second? Versatility. You can rock them with literally any outfit. Hoodies to Shirts to T-Shirts they can blend in real quick.
11. Confidence (Bonus):
Your outfit is meant to add to your confidence. But you still have that ignited confidence in yourself to pull off the outfit you are wearing. If you don’t have a little bit of confidence, even a high-end Zara suit can’t make you look good. Confidence is the ultimate kick-ass costume for you to gain attention.
So that was it, gentlemen. This was my ultimate guide to wardrobe-refresh. Also, these are just my opinions and not a stubborn line delineated in the space of your style. In case you think there are some more you can add, do let me know.
More Love and Power to you.
